Description: Moving to Sweden soon (English)

Amber - June 12, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
Hello all,

I hope I have choosen the right place to add this topic.. :/

Long story short, I am American but I am moving to Sweden with my fiance and son in a couple of months. Very happy about this.
This is the first pagan forum I have been able to find so far, so thats why Im here. Basically I was wondering what the pagan community is like over there? I was hoping to become involved with a public community group (if any exist?). really I just want a chance to meet other Pagans in my soon to be new home and have a chance to be all pagany and such.
I really have no idea what to expect. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

Tak!
Amber

Hi Amber, welcome to the forum :)

Whereabouts in Sweden will you land and live? If you tell us where, I am sure there are people there who you can hook up with.

thanks :)

We will be moving just outside of Stockholm in a village called Kungsberga. We should (hopefully) be there sometime in August.

how do I change this site to read in English? I will look around for it though.

Heres a question for you, how would you describe pagans / heathens in Sweden? What is the community like there?

Thank you so much for responding, I really do appreciate it. My apologies for now being able to write this in Swedish. Its a very slow process to learn a completly new language! So far I can just say that "I dont speak Swedish, but I can speak English", very slooooowly and Im sure with a horrible accent! And a few choice phrases not good for polite company.. :$

Tak!

I'm sorry Amber. You can't. Apart from a few words and links, most of the site is in Swedish-only I'm afraid. Maybe it will be good practice for you ;)

Just ask if you have any questions.

Mvh,
Thomas
