JONATHAN HORWITZ har jobbat med shamanism, både som healer och lärare, i över 20 år. Han tränade med Michael Harner och var anlitad av The Foundation for Shamanic Studies, USA, i 8 år. 1986 startade han Scandinavian Centre for Shamanic Studies med Annette Høst i Danmark. Han håller kurser runt hela Europa och på sin enkla kursgård i skogen på Hallandsåsen.

23 – 24 maj, 2009, Åsbacka, nordvästra Skåne
The retreat center Åsbacka, located in the southern Swedish woods, offers the possibility to do varied kinds of spirit work in a wild natural setting. These weekends are intended to allow people at all points of their shamanic paths to come together in a small group and deepen their experience of many possible ways of working - not only journeying, but also group healing, medicine walks, stone council, nature work, ceremony, song, dance and ritual. By sharing our experiences in the circle and learning from each other, it is hoped that participants will take away a deeper sense of their relationship to their Spirits, to themselves and to the world around them.
Each weekend will have a theme and for the May course it is FRUITFULNESS - bringing it to your life and extending it to the world.
There are 12 places. All participants must have completed the Basic workshop "The Shaman's Journey" with SCSS or agreed equivalent. In 2009 there will be four weekends – February, May, September, and December, and they can be taken together or as separate individual workshops. The weekends will run from 12 noon on Saturday to 16.00 on Sunday.
